TAKE A CLASS | BOOT CAMP| GET ORGANIZED—DIGITALLY

Boot Camp Week 1:
Get organized—digitally!

Brought to you in part by ACDSee. Learn to organize a digital kit using photo-management software and create a desktop background with an image-editing program.

Slide 2 of 12 PreviousPrevious | NextNext

SORTING AND CATEGORIZING: STEP 1

When you download a digital kit, it’s often a compressed file, and you need to extract your files before you can use the elements. To do this in ACDSee 10 Photo Manager, go to the left Folders pane and browse to the location of the file in your file tree. Select the file you need and click Extract to Folder in the menu. Click on Create Folder. Browse to the folder where you’d like the kit contents to be placed. (Many people choose My Pictures, but you can store kit contents wherever you like.) Name the folder, and click OK.
