During the excitement of a birthday party, it can be difficult to capture the perfect shot. With a little planning and these helpful hints, you can get the pictures you want.

Shoot from Different Angles

When photographing children, get on their level so you’re eye to eye with the action as they blow out their candles. Shoot from above to snap a photo of the entire cake or to capture happy faces surrounded by discarded wrapping paper without interference from other background elements.
