Create A Family Album, Part 1
1. Start by cutting one 7-1/2x4-1/4” rectangle of tan cardstock for the cover and four 10-1/2x4-1/2” strips of cream cardstock for the pages. Cut a 3-1/4x4-3/4” piece of floral-pattern paper for the front cover and a 1-5/8x4-3/4” piece of tan fabric for the spine. Spray the cardstock, patterned paper, and fabric with walnut ink and blot gently with a paper towel. Repeat for the opposite sides and let dry.
2. To make the cover, fold the tan inked rectangle of cardstock in half. Adhere the patterned-paper piece to the front panel of the cover. Fold the inked fabric in half lengthwise and adhere it to the spine edge of the cover. Once the glue is dry, stamp “moments” along the fabric edge on the front cover with a black ink pad.
3. Fold the four strips of inked cardstock into a Z-fold with three equal panels 3-1/2” wide. Machine-stitch the end panel of one strip to the first panel of another strip, approximately 1/16” away from the edge, until all four strips are joined. Stitch along each outer folded edge in the same manner as shown, forming one long accordion strip with 12 inner pages.
