Booklet Invite
design by Jean Wilson
Create a great-looking invitation in layers of vellum and patterned papers.
Instructions:
Cut two 5x7” rectangles from white vellum and one from white cardstock. Write “a baby shower” in the center of a sheet of white vellum, and write the shower information at the bottom of the white cardstock and layer the vellum over the cardstock. Lay the second sheet of white vellum on top of the first and add dots with colored markers.
Cut a 3/4x5” strip of coordinating patterned paper, and trim the right edge with decorative-edge scissors. Lay this strip on top of the polka-dot vellum. Next, cut a piece of patterned paper to 5x8 - 1/2” and lay it facedown on top of the pile. Line up the left edges and staple twice (staples should be vertical about 3/8” in from the edge).
Cover the staples on the back side with double-stick tape. Fold the top sheet of paper back and secure to the tape. Trim the right edges of the top and bottom layers with decorative-edge scissors.
SOURCES Patterned papers: Fiskars. Lettering template: Schwoop-De-Do Doodle-E-Do by Cut it Up.
