make dots and scribbles
design by Jackie Bonette
Home Is Where You Are tag
Jackie used puffy paints multiple ways for this tag. First, to create the dot pattern, she placed sticker reinforcements on the tag in rows. Then she filled in the holes with puff paint and allowed them to dry. Once the paint was dry, she removed the reinforcements, leaving three rows of circles.
Next, she scribbled on three of the chipboard letters with different colors of puffy paint. This is an easy way to cover raw chipboard, and it adds a fun texture as well. Once all the paint was dry, Jackie put a pattern-paper backing on the “o” and attached the letters to the layout, overlapping some of her puffy-paint dots.
SOURCES Patterned paper: KI Memories. Die-cut tag: 7Gypsies. Stickers: Making Memories (small), MAMBI (large), Heidi Swapp (chipboard letters). Puffy paint: Duncan. Metal clip: Making Memories. Ribbon: Michaels.
