Pour On Interest

design by Lori Bergmann

Using epoxy product and a basic pouring technique, I crafted two types of accents to coordinate with the watery theme of my layout.

TIPS
House a photo. Adhere an accent photo to the back of a metal frame and cover it with a thick layer of epoxy that will dome as it dries.
Create custom tints. I tinted a batch of epoxy with a few drops of transparent dye and poured it onto waxed paper to create free-form “puddles” that easily peel off the waxed paper once they’re dry.

SOURCES Card stock: Die Cuts with a View. Patterned paper, metal frame: K&Company. Font: Typewriter Oldstyle. Rubber stamps: MaVinci’s Reliquary (large letters), Making Memories (small letters). Ink: Clearsnap. Acrylic paint: Plaid. Epoxy products, dyes: Environmental Technology Inc. Adhesive: Xyron 150 Create-a-Sticker machine.
