Cut Mosaic Tiles

design by Lori Bergmann

To mimic the look of broken mosaic tiles, I randomly cut up partially cured sheets of tinted epoxy to produce the heart accent and border design.

TIPS
Mix transparent and opaque dyes. I swirled together different amounts of a transparent red dye and an opaque pearl white one to create three batches of marbled epoxy.
Repeat the motif. I repeated the tile look using a textured block stamp behind my title.

SOURCES Fonts: Chaparelle Pro (main text), Pharmacy (date). Rubber stamps: Sunday International (title), Delta (block background). Ink: Clearsnap. Rub-ons: Creative Imaginations. Epoxy products, dyes: Environmental Technology Inc. Adhesive: Aleene’s Platinum Bond Glass & Bead Adhesive by Duncan Enterprises.
