MAKE A BACKGROUND
design by Lee Anne Russell
Simple gear-shape dies grouped on monochromatic blocks nix the need for patterned paper. Lee Anne continued the blocky look by die-cutting letters from coordinating colors and making a smaller block arrangement.
Tips
Save time. Die-cut letters give the look and versatility of a hand-cut title in a fraction of the time.
Say the word. When choosing an alphabet die set, consider investing in a simple yet classic type style. Understated alphabets stand the test of time, and you can always dress them up by replacing letters with die-cut shapes as Lee Anne did with the letter “o.”
