TECHNIQUES | PAPER AND CARDSTOCK | PATTERNED PAPER MATCHING

Patterned Paper Matching

Combine any papers with a few no-fail guidelines.

Slide 3 of 3 PreviousPrevious

Start With a
MultiColor Sheet

design by Carrie Colbert

The idea here is to combine a multicolor patterned paper with a few tone-on-tone patterns. I started with the colorful floral paper and then selected tone-on-tone papers in orange, brown, green, red, and blue; each isolates one color from the multihue pattern. An advantage here is that the multicolor paper picks the color scheme for you.

SOURCES Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper. Patterned paper: KI Memories (floral), Chatterbox (orange, brown), Autumn Leaves (blue, green), 7Gypsies (red). Stickers: Creative Imaginations. Chipboard letters: Heidi Swapp. Die cut, acrylic accents: KI Memories. Word accents: Magnetic Poetry. Staples: EK Success.
