TECHNIQUES | PAPER AND CARDSTOCK | USING PUNCHES

Using Punches

Use basic paper punches in new ways for not-so-basic results.

Move A Border

design by Erica Hernandez

Simple border punches run through the middle of Erica’s design for a new take on traditional placement.

Tips
Stack ’em. Layered borders add a pop of color and command more attention than a single strip.
Keep it together. Erica grounded her photos by placing them along the punched border. This connection prevents the photos from floating.

SOURCES Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper. Patterned paper: Carolee’s Creations (blue), Autumn Leaves (purple). Font: Goethe Gothic off the Internet. Stickers, lace trim, photo corners: Making Memories. Rhinestones: K&Company. Rub-ons: Autumn Leaves (purple flourishes), BasicGrey (branch). Punches: Fiskars.
