How do I organize
my stacks of photos?
Before you buy supplies or even decide what you’re going to scrapbook, you’ll need to get your photos in order. For people who haven’t scrapbooked before, this can seem a daunting task. But by keeping a few basic tips in mind, you can get a handle on it in no time.
Come up with categories that make sense to you. Sort photos chronologically if your goal is to complete scrapbooks by date or event. Or if you want to track a specific life event, person, or topic, story by themes (like vacations or birthdays). Get as specific as you want—it’s your system.
Store prints in archival photo boxes or three-ring binders. Both are made to accommodate standard photo sizes and keep your treasured memories in tip-top shape. House corresponding negatives in PVC-free, archival polyester sleeves and keep them in a cool, dry place.
