What is a focal point?
The focal point is the main photo or part of your design. It’s the place to which you want to draw the viewer’s attention.
Choosing it. To determine your page’s focus, you have to first figure out the story behind your layout. Then, gather all the photos you want to use and select the picture that best represents your message.
Drawing attention to it. After you’ve chosen your focal point, make sure the viewer’s eye is attracted to it. To do this, you can treat it differently from other objects: make it larger or smaller, mat it, place it in the center of the page, isolate the object on the layout, or apply accents.
