Get Close

When shooting inside, avoid backgrounds with bold designs or patterns. Make sure no mirrors or windows create unwanted reflections. Here, Melissa eliminates clutter by getting close to the subject.

Camera: Nikon D70. ISO: 1600. Lens: 18-70 mm. Exposure: 1/40. Aperture: f4.5. White balance: “Incandescent +1.” Lighting: Indoors, window light.
