Design a Background

design by Mellette Berezoski

Make stamps match your style. Mellette went for a funky, artsy look by combining these twirly stamps with resist techniques. To create her border, she lined up four pieces of cardstock in different colors and heat-embossed the stamped designs. She painted the border with brown acrylic paint, let it dry, and ironed it between sheets of paper to remove the shiny look.

SOURCES Patterned paper: Autumn Leaves (blue), Making Memories (green, pink). Stickers: American Crafts (white, brown), Chatterbox (blue). Rub-ons: Creative Imaginations (black), American Crafts (brown). Rubber stamps: Sassafras Lass. Ink: Tsukineko. Embossing powder: Ranger Industries. Acrylic paint: Plaid. Ribbon: Autumn Leaves. Clip, leather flower, brads: Making Memories. Photo corners: Canson.
